Qatar Development Bank

Established in 1997 as a government-affiliated development institution, Qatar Development Bank (QDB) is dedicated to strengthening Qatar's national business landscape and driving the economic diversification of the private sector.

Over more than two decades of sustained economic development, QDB has achieved significant milestones, cementing its role as a cornerstone of Qatar's entrepreneurship ecosystem and a key enabler of a diversified, knowledge-based economy.

QDB's strategy is closely aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030, the Third National Development Strategy, and the Third Financial Sector Strategic Plan. Together, these frameworks guide the Bank's commitment to building a thriving business environment and empowering entrepreneurs to lead a sustainable and prosperous future.

The Bank's support framework is anchored on three interconnected pillars: promoting innovation by embracing entrepreneurial ideas and investing in high-potential startups; developing local businesses through tailored financial and advisory solutions; and enabling the export ecosystem by bolstering Qatari exports and enhancing the competitiveness of Qatari products in global markets - in close collaboration with government entities and strategic partners.

At the heart of QDB's efforts lies a commitment to diversifying its support mechanisms to foster both social and economic development. This is achieved by leveraging available resources to accelerate digital transformation and champion innovation and creativity. Central to this vision is the cultivation of impactful local and global partnerships that amplify Qatar's private sector presence on the world stage.
