Our Brand
We updated our brand to symbolise the changes taking place at the bank. As part of this initiative we have introduced new branches, rebranded existing branches and ATMs, and launched a new website and online banking platform. Our brand identity is a modern interpretation of a potent symbol from Qatar’s past, the oyster shell. The shell protects and nurtures its treasure, growing it over time, just as we seek to grow our customers’ assets.

Sheikh Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Bin Jassim Al-Thani has been serving on the Board of Ahlibank since 2005 and the Chairman of the Board since 2011. Holder of a Bachelor of Finance, Suffolk University, Boston, United States of America
Mr. Mahmoud Malkawi | Acting CEO
Mr. Mahmoud Malkawi has been appointed as Acting Chief Executive Officer of Ahli Bank Q.S.C (Ahlibank) by the Board of Directors on July 6, 2017. Mr. Malkawi has been working for Ahlibank since January 2001. He was appointed as the Senior Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Corporate Banking in February 2013. He is also the Chairman of Ahli Brokerage Company.
Mr. Malkawi has over 39 years of experience in corporate banking and other banking fields. His previous positions include board membership in various financial institutions, as well as Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Corporate Banking, Treasury and Investments with Ahlibank.
Mr. Malkawi started his professional career in 1978 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Diploma in Business Administration from Jordan University in Amman, Jordan.
