GHADA M. DARWISH KARBON, the Founder and Managing Partner of Ghada M. Darwish Law Firm has achieved many important milestones in her legal career.
Ghada was honoured as one of the “Inspiring Women in Qatar” by Medeis Al Khaleej, the authors of Qatar Success Stories and was one of the chosen participants for the Book launch in October 11, 2016 in Paris, France under the invitation of His Excellency Sheik Meshal Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar in France.
The Firm was founded on October 09, 2012. The Firm was awarded as, “Qatar Law Firm of the Year-2016” by Lexis Nexis when Qatar Business Law Forum launched their awards for the first time in Qatar, and has been ranked with the Legal 500 as one of the Leading Firms for the year 2018.
Ghada held the positions as a Legal Counsel with Qatar Chemicals Company, Manager and Lawyer with Law Firm of H.E Khalid Al Attiyah, Legal Researcher’ at the Qatar University and also Head of Investigations and Legal Advice Division: National Human Rights Committee (NHRC-Qatar). Ghada holds LLM in Sports Law, doing PhD in Administrative Law, holding LLM in Public Law and Bachelor’s Degree (LLB) in Sharia and Law.
Ghada was a delegate in the Qatar-German Business Forum held in September 2018 headed by the Amir, in Qatar-US Economic Forum headed by the Amir in April 2018 and also in the UK-Qatar Trade and Investment Conference 2017 (March) in London.
Appointed as Officer for the International Bar Association for the Arab Regional Forum Chapter (IBA-ARF) for 2017-2018 Term, appointed as Regional Coordinator for the Middle East Region for the International Chamber of Commerce’s Young Arbitrators Forum (ICC-YAF) and Honorary Member of Qatar British Business Forum Committee (QBBF) and member with many other international organizations. She is one Founding Member of Worldwide Lawyers Association.
Ghada was a speaker in “The 2nd World Conference on International Arbitration” in Doha, IBA Sydney Annual conference, the World Litigation Forum in Dubai 2017 and many other similar events.
